Room 322: UHV Chamber Rebecca Younkin and Jon Ashcom use this ultra-high vacuum chamber for experiments on femtosecond surface science. Laser pulses can be focused into the chamber and onto a sample through the windows. The sample is mounted on a temperature-controlled manipulator. The chamber is equipped with a quadrapole mass spectrometer and a low-energy electron diffraction and Auger apparatus.
